Regional Workshops for the Africa Incubator Network

Building Capacity and Raising Awareness for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Africa Incubator Network (AIN) is an informal association of incubators in Africa. The network seeks to raise awareness of business incubation aims and impacts, develop cooperation between business incubators and technology parks, foster exchange of knowledge, and contribute to improved regulations and policies that enable innnovation and entrepreneurship.

The AIN sub-regional workshops, which will be held in Maputo (Mozambique), Kampala (Uganda), and Accra (Ghana) will gather incubator managers from the region to:

  • exchange knowledge on business incubation
  • expand AIN by attracting and integrating new memebers and partners
  • establish working groups to implement AIN projects

AIN's founding members are: Softstart BTI (South Africa), BusyInternet (Ghana), and Uganda.

For more information about the workshop program, please contact Ms. Van Rensburg, Project Manager at Softstart, by e-mail at lalane@sbti.co.za
