Third Global Knowledge Conference (GK3): An Event on the Future

From December 11–13, 2007, nearly 2000 innovators, development practitioners, and policy makers will convene at the Kuala Lumpur Conference Center in Malaysia to exchange knowledge and views about the future at the 3rd Global Knowledge Conference (GK3).

The GK3 theme, “Emerging People, Emerging Markets, Emerging Technologies”, is a dynamic focus on the interplay, interface and interweaving of issues related to Knowledge for Development (K4D) and Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D) within the context of our evolving societies, economies and technologies worldwide.

The conference will explore three themes:

  • Join infoDev at this much anticipated event. Several our our associates will be there to speak about supporting ICT innovators. Drawing on the results of infoDev's impact assessment of business incubators and the direct experiences of the five regional networks that we support, our workshop will explore how a range of partners can most effectively work together to nurture ICT-enabled innovation and entrepreneurship to promote sustained economic growth and new opportunities for the poor.

    The forum will also feature associated events including the Young Social Entrepreneurs' Forum @ GK3
    which targets a community of 100 young social entrepreneurs selected through a Global Competition. The forum focuses on the support needed by innovative young social entrepreneurs in order to harness the full potential of their ICT-enabled social enterprises.
