Business Incubation Center Baia Mare was started in 1998 as part of the Decelopment Centre for SMEs of Maramures County, Romania. We are continously working in partnership with North University of Baia Mare aimed to facilitate the exchage from tge "academic world" to the real economic life.

Complex training in "Project management" & "Innovation"

Vision: "Technology become resourse"

Goal: to create a "critical mass" of informed and trained people in the North part of Romania, able to support the innovative business creation and the TT process.

First step: BIC Baia Mare and North University of Baia Mare started in january 2007 a project aimed to support the human resources development in our area.

Short description: The project named Managerial education and innovation – a chance for the competitiveness improvement or the Romanian companies “EMI 2007” has as its general objective the promotion of the competitiveness and the adaptability improvement of work force to the market economy requirements. This is in line with the regional priority of “entrepreneurship and the management quality improvement regarding the human resources development actions”.

The specific objective of the “EMI 2007” project is to create and to set-up a training programme regarding the complex managerial education aimed to improve the entrepreneurship and the innovation into the companies from Maramures and Satu Mare Counties.

The project “EMI 2007” developed a training programme with 2 major components: Project management and Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development. The training programme is founded on the existing experience in adult training in project management and on the partner’s co-operation aimed to produce a certified training and manual on Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development.

This training program started in Maramures and Satu Mare counties. The training is dedicated to the managers from SMEs and to the people that have the intention to improve their managerial and innovative skills. The complex training in management will support the improvement of the county competitiveness in Maramures and Satu Mare for the EU integration. The co-operation among the project partners will improve the link between the academics and the local economy, The North University of Baia Mare been involved into the technical and managerial education. Now it will extend its area with the using and the support of innovation.

The results are aimed to the institutional development:

• Adding the new curricula on “Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development”.
• Editing the training manual on “Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development”
• The training manual on “Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development” is printed in 1.000pcs. as well as aimed to the target group development

The project final beneficiary are graduated on The managerial education and innovation – a chance for the competitiveness improvement or the Romanian companies (60 people Module I, 60 people Module II) The main activities are:

1. Information and documentation in Maramures and Satu Mare Counties;
2. Preparing the new curricula on “Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development”;
3. Editting the training manual on “Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development”;
4. Printing the training manual in 1.000pcs.;
5. Promotion of the programme The managerial education and innovation – a chance for the competitiveness improvement or the Romanian companies;
6. The trainees’ selection;
7. Organising the premises for training activities;
8. Training delivering: Project management (3 series); Innovation – resource for entrepreneurial development (3 series);
9. Organising workshops in Baia Mare and Satu Mare aimed to project dissemination;
10. Project evaluation;
11. Project management delivering.
