31 Jan - 2 Feb 08
| Trivandrum, India
The Second Annual Conference of ISBA, to be held at Technopark, Trivandrum, will be emphasizing the need to promote business incubation, and thereby drive the Economic Growth of India to a higher plane. This year, the theme of the Meet will be “Global Leadership through Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship”. The three-day Conference, which will be held from January 31 to February 2, 2008, seeks to create a proper framework for the incubation process and to institutionalise its working, covering all facets of business activity. Further, the Meet aims at creating a forum where all the stakeholders in the Incubation arena could converge, network and thus strengthen the Institution.
The Conference strives to bring together the ISBA members, the Academia, R & D Institutions and other players from the industry, to work out strategies for making the India growth story, more broad based. A key area of interest of the Conference will be to derive an ‘inclusive growth paradigm’, for the revival of the traditional industries and creating more opportunities for them to be a part of the mainstream, with the support from the Business Incubation Community. The simple fact that these Industries sustain the rural poor, which would account for over 72% of the country’s population, make these industries the backbone of the Indian Economy and any effort to restore their health would naturally breathe new life into the country’s Rural Economy.
