The Think Tank Initiative is a multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening independent policy research institutions – or “think tanks” – in developing countries, enabling them to better provide sound research that both informs and influences policy.
The Think Tank Initiative invites applications from eligible organizations in Latin America and South Asia that are committed to using research to inform and influence social and economic policy. The Initiative will provide multi-year core funding and technical support to successful think tanks.
The Call for Expressions of Interest was launched on July 27, 2009. Think tanks from the following countries will be eligible to apply:
Latin America
Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru
South Asia
Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
