In its 2009 report, the Ministry of Trade & Industry of the Government of Ghana in an interaction with the Ghanaian Media informed about the status of support programmes for start-ups and SMEs in the country. According to the report, the Ministry of Trade & Industry in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication has commissioned the preparation of feasibility study and business plan towards the establishment of the first ICT Park at the Tema Free Zones Enclave. The ICT Park will provide the infrastructure and business support services for the incubation of export oriented small and medium ICT business to help them with shared facilities to maximize their potential for growth. According to the report, the funds for this project are available.
