| Description |
the Congress of Women of Kyrgyz Republic is a leading local Non Governmental Organization (NGO) widely supporting local women in all spheres of public life, such as politics, economy, social aspects and etc.
10 years ago the position of women in business was difficult, they had to fight against poverty and unemployment; starting up a business was hard. However, the situation changed when the CWKR worked out a national program of improving the situation of Kyrgyzstani women, where they concretely accented on the development of women entrepreneurship.
The CWKR works with small and medium enerprises by ensuring favorable condititons for starting of a business and the development during the "incubation period". CWKR, with the assistance of "Eurasia" Fund and USAID carries out the project for the creation of Business-Incubators. the basic purpose of the project is the expansion of access to small and medium businesses to sources of financing.
Congress of Women of Kyrgyz Republic has successfully realized 22 projects with the support of International donors jointly with governmental counterparts, one of which was the creation of 5 BI’s in various regions of Kyrgyzstan. 60% of incubators’ staff have participated in training courses and seminars, most of which were related to business issues such as business planning and financing.
The work of the Congress of Women and Business Incubator on the spread of ICT knowledge on the level of Government, Parliament and International donors, amongst the subjects of small and medium business gave positive results. Round tables, seminars, press conferences, websites, printed press and telecasts were all dedicated to the development of ICT. Consultations by an expert, Krzystov Zasiadly were conducted, the Strategic and operational management for BI was worked out, and it helped to achieve successful results in realizing a number of projects. There was a workshop conducted dedicated to the enhancement of e-business and website planning capacity of the BI staff and management.
