infoDev invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing expert services as detailed in the Terms of Reference for "Business Incubation Policy and Implementation Strategy for Ghana". Please click here to view the Terms of Reference.

infoDev is working with the Government of Ghana to leverage infoDev's Incubator Initiative which has supported more than 70 business incubators in over 50 developing countries. In specific, the objective of this assignment is to evaluate existing policies and government programs aimed at supporting business incubation; and apply this evaluation to developing a strategy specifically for Ghana.

infoDev helps developing countries and the international partners maximize the contribution and impact of the private sector through direct support for business incubators. infoDev studies on incubators have found that business incubation is generating important 'externatilities' by creating a platform for leaders to influece the broader business environment for high-growth small and medium-size enterprises. Based on the important role that business incubators play, emerging markets are increasingly implementing policy frameworks, which include direct and indirect support for business incubation.

infoDev invites firms with proven experience and expertise in the area of business incubation and SME development, to submit Expression of Interests (EOI) for this assignment. Expressions of Interest should be submitted in English. Candidates should have a demostrated track record of advising governments on developing policy frameworks and strategies for business incubation and SME development, particularly in the ICT sector.

The closing date to submit Expressions of Interest is 17 December, 2007.
