Report on the Asian Association of Business Incubation 12th General Assembly The Asia Pacific Conference on Business Incubation and Entrepreneurship was successfully held on 11-12 June 2008 at Nikko Hotel and Technology Park Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. This event was organized by the National Incubator Network Association, Malaysia (NINA) and the Asian Association of Business Incubation (AABI) in conjunction with 12th AABI General Assembly.

infoDev Global Network of Business Incubators member selected as finalist for the Development Marketplace 2008 awards Tiruchirappalli Regional Engineering College - Science & Technology Entrepreneurs Park (TREC-STEP) from India has been selected as a finalist among 100 candidates for the DM2008 awards. 1,768 proposals were submitted for this year's competition. TREC-STEP has been a member of infoDev's Global Network of Business Incubators since 2004.

Kyrgyz Business Incubator celebrates Chingiz Aitmatov's 80th Birthday The Congress of Women of the Kyrgyz Republic, the first women-focused business incubator in the country, was opened in Kyrgyzstan in 2004. Since then, the incubator has organized several events to bring together important thinkers and change agents who contribute to the social and economic development of Kyrgystan and the region.

Joint research project awarded to two infoDev Incubator Initiative grantees from Bulgaria and Vietnam The Applied Research and Communications Fund of Bulgaria and the Center for Research and Consulting on Management at Hanoi University of Technology, Vietnam won a research project on the topic of knowledge transfer, innovation and R&D, awarded by the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science.

CRC-TOPIC Incubator awarded finalist position in the Stockholm Challenge GKP Awards 2007 Out of 119 entries in the award, nine finalists have been chosen by the jury. CRC-TOPIC is under the Education category, with its National Network of E-learning Centers in 64 provinces of Vietnam. The winners will be announced during the GK III conference in Kuala Lumpur, December 10-13.

Results of the Asian and the Pacific Incubator Conference in Vietnam (AAPIC 2007) The “Asian and the Pacific Incubator Conference (AAPIC) 2007” is being jointly organized by the Information for Development Program (infoDev) of the World Bank and the CRC-TOPIC Business Incubator (Hanoi University of Technology).
